Mihaela Noroc, a Romanian photographer, is on a mission to show the world that beauty and charm can be found almost anywhere. The idea behind her book is that all women are beautiful in their own individual way. These pictures brilliantly illustrate that in spite of differences we are all filled with beauty.
#1 Kathmandu, Nepal
She's Sona during Holi, the festival of colours. This huge Hindu celebration is one of the most spectacular in the world. The day when spring comes, when good triumphs over evil, a moment to forgive and to be forgiven. I took this photo on the streets of Kathmandu, Nepal, a few days ago. Now I'm in Iran and soon the Persian New Year (Nowruz) will be celebrated here. #TheAtlasOfBeauty #AroundTheWorld #Nepal #Holi
In Omo Valley, Ethiopia you have the chance to explore tribes that live like thousands of years ago. Nudity is something normal and the veil only protects this young woman from the sun. She is part of Arbore Tribe. The 4G mobile network is already there. Soon they will all have smartphones. #TheAtlasOfBeauty #Ethiopia #aroundtheworld
She’s Mahsa, on the streets of Tehran, Iran, a few weeks ago. She recently started photography as a hobby, but wishes to make it a profession. In The Atlas of Beauty Book you will find much more photos and stories from all over the world. If you wish to pre-order it, just follow the link from the bio. It would greatly help the continuation of the project. #TheAtlasofBeauty #AroundTheWorld #Iran
#4 Baku, Azerbaijan
I had the chance to talk with many wonderful women while visiting Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, a few weeks ago. In Azerbaijan equal rights between man and women are granted by laws but in reality there are still many couples where the husband decides for her wife. Some women told me that they need permission from their husbands, if I want to photograph them. Things are changing though. There are more and more Azerbaijani women who fight for gender equality. Fidan is one of these amazing women who would never start a relationship, if she wouldn't be treated equally and respected. #TheAtlasOfBeauty #AroundTheWorld #Azerbaijan

#8. Corfu Island, Greece
Today is the first day of Easter for all Orthodox Christians. In some countries from South and Eastern Europe, this is the most important religious celebration. Corfu Island, Greece, is famous for its philharmonic bands that march every year on the streets of Corfu Town, just before Easter. I was there yesterday and took this photo. #TheAtlasOfBeauty #Greece #aroundtheworld
